Regret and Second Chance Ch.20
Sho walked to his usual route after his visit at the hospital. While he walked absent-mindedly, he recalled back what happened after he cried to Yamada-sensei to check about the mystery of Aiba’s case.
“CAN YOU PLEASE RECHECK THE DNA IDENTITY PLEASE?”
Yamada-sensei was a bit taken aback by Sho’s movement.
When he stands up, Sho is still bowing.
He walked until he comes in front of Sho as he gestures to him to stand up.
Sho looked at him pleadingly.
“What is your reason for that?” Yamada-sensei asked.
Then Sho started to cry “Because…because I met someone who looked like Aiba and on the spot I knew he is Aiba that I know. All I need now is some answer for me to choose either to believe in miracle of meeting someone that I believe it is him or finally learn to let go and accepted the fact that Aiba is really gone”
Yamada-sensei looked at Sho with concern eyes as in a father who wants to console his son. Sho is crying and still in his bowing gesture.
“If I help you will you ever be ready to face the possibilities and the aftermath?” he asked Sho.
Sho looked at him and with determined look plastered on his face, he said “I’m ready with anything as I already feel worse and kept feeling worse when new day come and now I think I am ready to let the past go and move on”
Yamada-sensei nodded as he was satisfied with Sho’s answer.
“Well the process will take a couple of days, so when the result is out I will let you know as soon as possible”
Sho was really happy when he heard the news, after the doctor finished his sentence, Sho went to him and shook his hand firmly “Arigatou Sensei!”
“HEY IF YOU WONT SNAP BACK TO REALITY NOW YOU WILL FALL INTO THE DRAIN IN FRONT OF YOU BY TWO STEPS!” suddenly Sho heard someone yelled behind him. Sho stopped abruptly as he is mere two steps away from the big drain in front. He looked up at the sky and whispered “Arigatou Kami-sama” as he couldn’t imagine how he will look like to be cover by drain water.
Then he heard a dog’s barking. He quickly turned around as he suddenly feels happy to hear the familiar sound.
When he turned around, Momo was already at his feet, snuggling closer to Sho’s feet.
“Sashiburi na Sakurai-kun” Ryou Shin greets as he got closer. Then he laughed when he continues “Even though we just met yesterday and today I did help you from major embarrassment, as for now we’re officially equal!” he babbled non-stop.
Sho laughed and nodded. After he had cried earlier in the hospital and almost lost hope, part of him still believe miracle will happened to someone who kept praying hard and looking at Ryou Shin face made he feel he owes Kami-sama big time.
