(Chapter Twenty-four)

Sho fidgeted on his seat. He doesn’t know how to start the conversation or telling the fact to be precise.

“I want to know the reason why you be friend with me in the first place?” Shin asked out of the blue making Sho turned to him abruptly.

Then Sho remembered the time Shin came to him, returning the wallet and pissed about the fact he is close to him because of the resemblance with the guy in the picture who happened to be Aiba.

“Shin, I hope what I’m going to tell you in a moment won’t affect our friendship and your relationship with your current family ties”

Shin blinked with confused expression plastered on his face “Current family ties? What are you talking about?”

Sho turned around, face to face with Shin. He inhales a deep breathe and let it go slowly. His heart beats faster each second. “Ok, here goes nothing” he thought.

“Shin, you and the guy in the picture are the same person and your real name is Aiba Masaki”

“HUH!!??” Shin blurted out. “What are you talking about?”

“Shin, let me ask you one thing,” Sho said, in a matter of fact tone. “Do you remember any of your past? What you did when you were younger? When is your birthday? Who is your best friend?” Sho knew he shouldn’t ask too many questions to Shin but now he don’t want to be sympathized, all he want is to make Shin remember who he is.

Shin looked down as he tried hard to remember all the answers for Sho’s questions.

Before this, he knew something is wrong with him as he can’t really remember his past except for what happened for the last six months. He asked his parents about it, but all his parents answer were that he is having an accident that cause him amnesia and forgets his past. His parents said that he doesn’t have a good past so they are glad that he can live anew life. Shin trusted his parent as a good son will do accepted the answer and never bring out the question again.

“What happened to this Aiba Masaki?” Shin asked, not knowing what else to ask or to answer.

“Well he was involved in a brutal accident and cannot be recognized but only after Christmas that I know that he is still alive” Sho answered.
