Chapter 6

 

 

“Hey Nino, catch this!” Ohno yelled from behind.

 

“Huh...” Nino absentmindedly turns around to where the voice he heard and then saw a high speed flying ball headed to him. Without any reaction from him, the ball flew straight and hit his stomach.

 

“Uhh...” Nino groaned, kneeling as the pain was unbearable.

 

“Nino, are you alright?” Ohno asked as he ran to Nino, to check his condition.

 

“Why did you do that for?” Nino asked with annoyance and pain as he tried to stand up to smack Ohno’s head.

 

“I’m sorry,” Ohno apologizes “I thought you had a good reflex. Is something wrong?”

 

“No, nothing’s wrong,” Nino lied. After last night, when he went back to his house safely, he keeps on thinking about what had happened at the cemetery. He knew for some reason, he did saw something moving in there and he was so sure that he didn’t imagined it. So to make his mind clear, he decided to investigate first thing after the school hour ends.

 

“Where’re the others?” Nino asked, changing the subject before Ohno keep on continuing asking questions. Nino is really good about digging out secrets from people and keeps his secret safe from anyone.

 

“Well you know the place they like to hang out before class starts,” Ohno replied as he picked up the ball he had threw to Nino just now.

 

“Let’s go join them,” Nino replied and together the two of them walked away headed to the basketball court.

 

When they arrived, they saw Caely was shooting a three pointer.

 

The ball went into the basket. Caely and Jun slapped a high five.

 

“Looks like we win again,” Jun teased.

 

“Yeah, that’s not fair you know since the two of you are the star players,” Sho interjected.

 

Jun and Caely laughed.

 

“Aiba also a star player too,” Caely coaxed.

 

Sho who noticed the presence of Nino and Ohno greets “Hey you two care to join us?”

 

Before the two of them could reply, we all heard the bell rings.

 

“Guess we head out to class now,” Nino said.

After six long hours of studying, finally the school ends for the day. We walked out from class and then headed out to the bicycle lot.

 

“So what’s our plan for Sunday?” Ohno asked, as the six of us started cycling headed home.

 

“You mean during the night of Halloween?” Nino asked.

 

Ohno nodded.

 

“Well I don’t want to do trick-or-threat. We’re too old for that,” Caely said.

 

“Let’s play spirit of the coin at Aiba’s place!” Jun suddenly suggested.

 

Suddenly Ohno and Caely break their bike. Nino, Sho, Jun and I who had been startled by the actions fails to do emergency breaks crash into Caely and Ohno bikes and we all fells off from their bike with a loud thud.

 

“Oww...” Sho groaned “Why did the two of you do that for?” he asked angrily.

 

“Yeah... it sure hurts,” the rest of us said, glaring at the two of them.

 

“Sorry you guys,” Caely apologizes as she rose to her feet and pick up her bike. Then she went to help Jun who had fell behind her.

 

“Why you want to play spirit of the coin at my place?” I asked. I always know that there is something wrong with my house as almost every night I can hear strange sounds coming out from the stuck door basement and I even once saw a pair of red eyes staring at me one night when I decided to go and check it out. But for the pass four months I’ve been living in here, I still didn’t really know what exactly happened to the house and every time I wanted to ask my friends, I will ended up forgetting about it by the time I met them.

 

“Well yeah,” Caely replied, reluctantly “You know about the story that happened in Aiba’s house right?” she asked to Jun.

 

“I knew about that!” Jun replied, feeling his temper started to rise.

 

“Do you guys wanna do it?” Sho suddenly asked, as he tried to avoid an argument between his friends.

 

“I don’t know,” Ohno replied, uncertain.

 

“Yeah but what...” before I could ask, Jun interrupts.

 

“Wait! Don’t tell me all of you believe about the ghost story!”

 

“What?” I said, bewildered and then added “My house is haunted?”  As I looked at Caely and  Matsujun, not liking this new fact a bit (which confirm my all time theory about something is definitely wrong with my house!)

 

“Yeah,” Jun replied “But I don’t believe it,” he admitted

 

Ohno and Caely looked at each other as they didn’t know how respond. Jun can be the smart one but he can be the most idiotic person when it comes to do crazy stuff and sometimes he can be very pushy to do thing that he want to do.

 

“The story might be true, you know,” Caely said, try to be convincing.

 

“C’mon it just a story,” Jun argued “Just admit that you’re afraid,” he teased.

 

“We’re not scared!” Ohno said sharply. Sometimes Jun can be a total annoyance.

 

“Then it settles. We’re going to do it this coming Halloween,” Jun concluded and then startled to cycle away before anyone could argue the decision.

 

“Don’t you think you should explain to me what exactly happened to my house before you decided to do anything about it?” I asked suddenly which cost everyone looked at me apologetically.

 

“Okay Aiba, maybe it is time for you to know the truth about your house…” Sho said while the others nodded.

 

 

 

(SHIDA said: Well I made Jun such a jerk ne…*get bricks by Jun’s wifey* these past few days I can update two fic at once... I am so glad about it but my other fic Regret and Second Chance will soon to come to an end and later I will start working on new fic (if I got some time)…well as usual thanks in advance for reading and for all your support minna…)
